This past Monday, August 28th, a team from Globalpesca visited the Bambi Kindergarten, which we sponsor as a company, to introduce the children aged 2 to 4 to the work that takes place aboard our vessels using our work tools such as ships, helmets, buoys, harpoon guns, boxes, and of course, codfish.
Led by Captain Henry Almonacid, Officer José Luis Rozas, Deck Bosuns Patricio Carrión and Luis García, Factory Bosuns Alejandro Medina and José Antonio Gaete, the Human Resources Manager Mónica Oyarzo, the Industrial Management Representative Yessica Cerda, and the Communications Manager Ale Fernández, they spent over an hour sharing with the youngsters, who later expressed what they had learned through drawings.
The director of the Kindergarten, María Belén Barrientos, expressed her gratitude to the workers for taking the time to share their experience and knowledge with the children. “You could see how much the kids enjoyed it and how it took them out of their daily routine. Hopefully, this won’t be the only visit and there will be many more, because such activities prove that you stand out as a company.”
