The general manager of Globalpesca SpA. Eduardo Infante, met with different authorities from the region with the objective of specifying protocol greetings and talking about the Fisheries Law project created by the Executive, providing opinions that align with the reality of working in the industrial fishing sector in Magallanes.
In the Maritime Governorate of Punta Arenas, it was the first meeting with the port captain, Esteban Ávila, and the maritime governor, ship captain Felipe González, (who took office at the beginning of this year), with the purpose of delivering a protocol greeting, talk about the Law of the Sea. In addition, the company’s operations manager, Carlos Bórquez, and the other industrial shipowners of the region were also present.
Then the general manager met with Magallanes’ presidential delegate, José Ruiz, and the economic cabinet, where the economy minister, Marlene España, and the shipowners participated. On this occasion, the Fisheries Law was delved into, and opinions and suggestions regarding the reality of the industrial fishing sector in the region were collected.
At the end of that meeting, he was with the president of Sofofa, Rosario Navarro, and the president of the CPC in Magallanes, Salvador Harambur.
Finally, in the premises of the Third Naval Zone, Infante met with Rear Admiral José Castillo, to welcome and announce the willingness to always work together. Meeting in which other industrial shipowners also participated.
