On Thursday, November 23rd, the award ceremony for a new edition of the painting competition “Bambi Paints Its Sea” took place at the Bambi Kindergarten facilities of Junji.
The event was attended by the winning boys and girls, their families, the educational team of the kindergarten, the director of the establishment Belén Barrientos, the operations manager of Globalpesca Carlos Bórquez, the captain of Globalpesca III, deck and engine officers, bosuns from the same vessel, and members from all areas of the onshore office.
In three categories divided into Nursery (under 2 years) and families, younger children (2-3 years), and older children (3-4 years), the youngsters used various techniques to respond to the theme: “My Sea,” where each participant expressed their personal relationship and experience with the sea, whether through flora, fauna, professions, sports, traditions, tools related to the sea, and/or fishing activities themselves.
For the selection of the winners, an experienced team was involved: the artist and regional director of Cultural Heritage, Pablo Querccia, led the jury, which also included the visual artist and regional architect Sofía Morales, the human resources manager of Globalpesca Mónica Oyarzo, and Daniela Palma representing the workers of Globalpesca.
